{"id":801859,"date":"2026-07-14T18:43:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T18:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/801859\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T18:43:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T18:43:10","slug":"calgary-massage-therapist-charged-with-sexual-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/801859\/","title":{"rendered":"Calgary massage therapist charged with sexual assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Calgary massage therapist has been charged after a client reported being touched in a sexual way during an appointment last summer.<\/p>\n<p>Calgary police say the incident happened on Aug. 9, 2025, when a victim went for a massage at Kinesio Massage Therapy on 17 Avenue SW neat 37 Street. <\/p>\n<p>It is alleged the therapist touched the client in a sexual manner without consent.<\/p>\n<p>The victim reported the incident earlier this year. Police executed a search warrant at the massage clinic on July 8 and arrested a suspect.<\/p>\n<p>Yuriy Zhivov, 52, of Calgary, is now charged with one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court in September.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this or similar incidents can contact police at 403\u2011266\u20111234, or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n<p>Police are reminding the public that there is no time limit for reporting sexual assault in Canada.
