FRISCO, Texas (July 14, 2026) \u2013 The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its 2025-26 All-American Scholar Team on Tuesday. Cherry Marley<\/a>, Tiphani Knight<\/a>, and Alice Webb<\/a> represented the University of South Florida women’s golf team. \u00a0\u00a0

\nMarley averaged 73.69 this season and earned her first WGCA All-American Scholar accolade. She recorded six top-25 and four top-10 finishes, including an individual championship at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational. She was the top finisher at three tournaments for USF. She posted 78 birdies and three eagles on the year. She recorded a low round of 68 (-5) in the final round of the Pat Bradley Invitational and a 68 (-4) in the opening round of the American Conference Championship. She finished with five rounds in the 60s.

\nKnight finished the season averaging 73.22 per round and earned her first WGCA All-American Scholar nod. She recorded six top-25 and three top-10 finishes during the 2025-26 season. Her best finish came at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate, where she finished third. She recorded three rounds in the 60s, including a career-low 67 (-4) in Round 1 of the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate. She was the Bulls’ top performer in four tournaments. She tallied 66 birdies and one eagle during her first year.

\nWebb appeared in seven tournaments and averaged 76.30 over 20 rounds. She earned her first WGCA All-American Scholar honor. She posted a season-best 69 twice, at the Pat Bradley Invitational and again at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate. Her best finish came at the Pat Bradley Invitational, where she recorded a 221 (+5) and tied for 11th. She recorded 44 birdies for the season.

\nThe criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are among the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and remain on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and play in 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team’s conference championship.

Tampa native AJ Newell<\/a>, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her third season as head coach of USF women’s golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.

\nNewell took over leadership of the Bulls’ program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
