NAMAYGOOSISAGAGUN \u2014 Wildfire activity is\u00a0affecting railway operations near Namaygoosisagagun First Nation.<\/p>\n
OPP disclosed shortly before 5:00 p.m.\u00a0Tuesday that three trains carrying combustible and flammable materials were stopped and staged near the non-status First Nation, also known as Collins First Nation,\u00a0between mile markers 20 and 23 of the railway’s Allanwater subdivdision, 32 kilometres from Armstrong.<\/p>\n
CN Rail later confirmed that it has temporarily suspended its operations in the area as a precaution due to wildfire activity in the area.<\/p>\n

As a safety measure, a company spokesperson told Newswatch,\u00a0CN employees were evacuated overnight.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson said the railway remains in close contact with the MNR and local authorities as the situation continues to evolve.<\/p>\n
