\n\tSteve Buscemi<\/a> is joining the cast of FX<\/a> and Hulu<\/a>\u2018s Far Cry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former Boardwalk Empire star and Emmy winner is joining It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob Mac (who also executive produces) and Lizzy Caplan<\/a> in the series, an adaptation of the long-running video game franchise. As has been the case since FX picked up the series<\/a> in November 2025, details about Buscemi\u2019s role \u2014 and the show\u2019s story \u2014 are hard to come by.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso of note: Buscemi, who starred the 1996 Coen brothers movie Fargo, will be working with executive producer Noah Hawley \u2014 who created the Fargo series for FX that\u2019s inspired by the film \u2014 on Far Cry. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

\n\tLike the video game, the Far Cry series is planned as an anthology, with a new story and cast each season. FX hasn\u2019t said whether Hawley and Mac are adapting a specific iteration of the game or using the world as a jumping-off point.<\/p>\n

\n\tBuscemi had a key role in season two of Netflix\u2019s Wednesday as the principal of Nevermore Academy. His recent TV credits also include Miracle Workers on TBS and guest roles on The Studio and Elsbeth. He earned two Emmy nominations for playing Nucky Thompson on HBO\u2019s Boardwalk Empire and won an Emmy in 2016 for the short-form show Park Bench With Steve Buscemi. He is repped by UTA and The Gotham Group.<\/p>\n

\n\tHawley and Mac are executive producing Far Cry with Simon Emanuel, Emilia Serrano of Hawley\u2019s 26 Keys, Nicholas Frenkel of 3 Arts, Monica Macer, Peter Calloway, John Campisi, and Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin and Austin Dill of Ubisoft Film & Television.
