As always, shoppers in Canada had to watch as a popular Costco product went viral \u2014 but it is finally making its way north of the border.<\/p>\n

On June 25, Costco Canada announced that it\u2019s finally bringing the grilled chipotle chicken to its locations.<\/p>\n

\u201cNEW ARRIVAL at Costco! Grilled Chipotle Chicken,\u201d reads the post. \u201cIs this going in your cart? \ud83d\udc40\u201d<\/p>\n

The chicken has gone viral as many online consider it a copycat version of the grilled chicken at Chipotle Mexican Grill. And because it\u2019s fully cooked, netizens say it\u2019s a quick way to add protein to burritos, rice bowls, tacos, or quesadillas.<\/p>\n

The chicken comes in a one-kilogram bag and costs $16.99, and according to people who\u2019ve purchased it, it can be found in the prepared meal section near the rotisserie chicken.<\/p>\n

But does it actually live up to the hype?<\/p>\n

It seems opinions are split.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so disappointed in it. It\u2019s a mix of chicken breast and rib meat, which explains why there were so many hard and rubbery pieces in this,\u201d said<\/a> B.C.-based content creator Crystal, who added that she plans to return the product.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d rather buy rotisserie + chipotle\/taco seasoning,\u201d stated<\/a> one Redditor.<\/p>\n

But it was a big hit for other Costco Canada shoppers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is really good. Almost like the chicken they put in the chicken taco kit,\u201d one wrote<\/a>. \u201cI tried to create the homemade Chipotle bowl, and it turned out really great. Will buy it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

One shopper in Winnipeg stated<\/a>, \u201cThis stuff is goooood. It\u2019s like four-ish bucks extra per kilogram\u2026 but the time and efforts you save are worth it, especially if you\u2019re not too big on cooking.\u201d<\/p>\n
