HAMILTON \u2013 Hamilton police have identified the slain man who was dumped in a culvert near the city\u2019s harbourfront as a 29-year-old Brampton, Ont., truck driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police say Taranpreet Singh Sidhu was found dead near the north end of Fruitland Road on Wednesday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They say investigators are confident he was not killed there, but they are not prepared to release information about the vehicle believed to have been used to move him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police say the man immigrated from India in 2022 and has since lived in Brampton and Halifax while working as a truck driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Investigators say they continue to review evidence to establish his movements leading up to his death.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police say the homicide unit is working closely with police in Peel Region.\u00a0<\/p>\n
