Pair of daycare projects coming before Surrey council<\/p>\n

Surrey council will vote on two daycare centre proposals following a July 27 public hearing.<\/p>\n
The first involves a new childcare facility for up to 46 children at 12036 \u2013 84 Avenue with a caretaker suite proposed for the basement.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s on a vacant lot where a single-family dwelling was demolished in 2023.<\/p>\n
The second proposal, for 15407 \u2013 91A Avenue, is for a child care centre for up to 25 children \u201cas an accessory use\u201d inside an existing single family dwelling that will require three staffers.<\/p>\n
Currently there\u2019s a two-storey single-family residence on site with a child care facility for seven children there, with Berkshire Park and Berkshire Park Elementary School nearby. <\/p>\n
