(Image Credit: SaskLakes.ca)<\/p>\n<p>By paNOW Staff<\/p>\n<p>Wildlife investigation<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tJul 16, 2026 | 5:21 PM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Two people have died in what officials are calling a suspected wildlife-related incident near McTavish Lake, located about 90 kilometres north of La Ronge. <\/p>\n<p>La Ronge RCMP received a call on July 15 about a suspected wildlife incident in the area. During the investigation, two individuals were found deceased.<\/p>\n<p>The Conservation Officer Service\u2019s Wildlife Human Attack Response Team has been deployed and is working with the Coroner\u2019s Service and RCMP as they investigate.<\/p>\n<p>Conservation officers are working to identify and locate the animal or animals that may have been involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"McTavish Lake is located 88 kilometres north of La Ronge and is only accessible by plane.
