In the US, an individual plan now costs $11.99 per month, a $1 bump up from the previous $10.99 price. A family plan now costs $19.99 per month, up from $16.99, and a student plan costs $6.99 per month, up from $5.99. Apple, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/apple-music-hikes-subscription-prices-as-a-result-of-rising-licensing-costs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a statement to Music Business Worldwide<\/a>, says it is increasing prices \u201cas a result of rising licensing costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Music Business Worldwide also reports that prices gone up in the UK and Europe, and the publication \u201cunderstands\u201d that hikes are hitting other countries as well. Apple didn\u2019t immediately reply to a request for comment from The Verge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Apple Music last got a price increase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/10\/24\/23420902\/apple-tv-plus-music-price-increase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in October 2022<\/a> alongside hikes to Apple TV Plus and Apple One. The company is also reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/966219\/apple-care-plus-price-increase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">raising prices<\/a> for AppleCare Plus subscriptions for Macs and iPads. Spotify recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/862465\/spotify-premium-us-price-increase-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">increased its prices<\/a> in the US as well, hiking up a Spotify Premium plan from $11.99 per month to $12.99 per month. In other music industry news, CD sales in the US have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/entertainment\/966726\/cd-sales-vinyl-physical-media-luminate\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reportedly been going up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Apple has also increased some prices of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/apple-one\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple One subscriptions<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/macmagazine.com.br\/post\/2026\/07\/17\/apple-music-e-apple-one-ficam-mais-caros-no-brasil-e-nos-eua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MacMagazine reports<\/a>. In the US, the Family plan has increased to $27.95 per month and the Premier plan has increased to $39.95, both hikes of $2 from the previous costs.
