Best Bet for Saturday (July 18th): WNBA Predictions
\nWashington Mystics vs Golden State Valkyries<\/a><\/p>\n

Start Time: 8:30 PM EST<\/p>\n

The Golden State Valkyries went from surprising everyone last season by making the playoffs<\/a> in their inaugural year as a franchise to becoming one of the top teams in the league in Year 2. The 18-7 Valkyries are only one game behind the Minnesota Lynx for the best record in the W, and the advanced stats also rank them behind only the Lynx.<\/p>\n

So things aren\u2019t looking good for the Washington Mystics when they hit the hardwood at the Chase Center tomorrow night, where Golden State holds a 10-3 home mark, the best in the league. The Mystics are a strong road team (7-5), but if the Valkyries can beat them by 13 on their own floor, what can they do to them at home? Washington will have to try to contain a team that has won eight straight games and 12 of their last 14.<\/p>\n

After crunching the numbers, my line for tomorrow night in the Bay is Golden State -8.5, so I like the Valkyries on the spread.<\/p>\n
