English golf star Charley Hull<\/a> looks likely to be out of action for longer than anticipated.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The European Solheim Cup star was forced to withdraw<\/a> from the PIF London Championship earlier in the month after hurting her ankle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Buzzing’ Hull was on her way to a four-hour practice session when she tripped and fell in the car park at Centurion Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old said the pain was so bad she was certain that she broke her ankle and she needed to be picked up by her boyfriend<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I was buzzing yesterday coming out of physio after getting my back tape on,\u201d she previously explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I booked a four or five-hour practice session with my coach last Wednesday, which is nice and quiet, and I love practicing.<\/p>\n

“I was really excited all week. Coming out of the locker room, I had a skip in my step because I love practicing.<\/p>\n

“But then I fell over a curb in the car park and was lying on the floor shouting for my boyfriend to come get me.<\/p>\n

“The security guard was watching me, and I heard my ankle pop. I thought I broke it. Someone picked me up and put me in the car.<\/p>\n

“I went down so quickly, I nearly fainted. I was not sure if I was overreacting. I started moving my ankle and it\u2019s nowhere near as bad as I thought.”<\/p>\n

Hull remained on site at Centurion Club to greet fans and take pictures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But it now appears the injury is worse than first feared, with the golfer sharing pictures on Instagram wearing a protective moon boot.<\/p>\n

Unlucky few months for Hull<\/p>\n

Hull can count herself somewhat unfortunate over the last few months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In July, she withdrew from the Evian Championship after collapsing<\/a> in the first round.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old was struggling with a virus that week but decided to give it a go anyway and managed to complete only 12 holes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She received an IV drip after being whisked off the course but did not require hospital treatment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Not the Evian Championship I was hoping for,” she said as she thanked the medical staff<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hull then delivered her best major performance at the AIG Women’s Open<\/a> at Royal Porthcawl, but played bridesmaid yet again to Miyu Yamashita.\u00a0<\/p>\n
