Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> went to try butter ice cream in New York City, and I regret to report that the internet may have some explaining to do.<\/p>\n In the recent video posted to the Grammy Award winner\u2019s TikTok, Megan\u2019s in the car, looking fabulous as usual, on her way to try the dessert she\u2019d apparently been seeing all over social media<\/a>. The cone is from Papa d\u2019Amour, Chef Dominique Ansel\u2019s bakery concept, and it\u2019s vanilla bean soft serve dipped in French butter and finished with fleur de sel.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope it\u2019s as good as it looked,\u201d Megan said before getting there. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s as good as it sounds,\u201d which I\u2019d say is already the correct amount of suspicion for a dessert coated in something I usually drench my popcorn in<\/a>.<\/p>\n Megan then took a bite straight from the top of the cone\u2014not a cautious side lick, noted\u2014and immediately started laughing.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is NOT how it looked on TikTok!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Everyone in the car with her started laughing, too, which is usually not the sound you want after ordering multiple rounds of a viral dessert<\/a>.<\/p>\n Someone off-camera even asked, \u201cShould I tell them to cancel the other ones?\u201d<\/p>\n But according to Megan, the ice cream itself wasn\u2019t the problem. She gave that part a \u201c10 out of 10.\u201d But the butter seemed to be doing exactly what butter does, which is… well, taste like butter, and that\u2019s a very specific experience when it\u2019s wrapped around soft serve.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is my second TikTok recommendation that has been in the hole, oh my god,\u201d Megan said.
