On July 19, MIA General Hospital leading lady Kirsten Storms \u2014 who sat out the reveal that Maxie\u2019s \u201clate\u201d husband Nathan was really his twin brother Cassius \u2014 shared an update on what\u2019s been going on in her life since\u2026 well, this<\/a>. \u201cDespite everything that\u2019s been going on in my life right now \u2014 and I will be honest, it\u2019s more than upsetting \u2014 I still feel that the move to Tennessee was the best choice for me,\u201d she Instagrammed. \u201cI might not be at the best part of this choice yet, but L.A. never felt like my real home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful and really [bleeping] proud of the accomplishments I\u2019ve achieved during my acting career,\u201d she added. \u201cHowever, my career started before I was out of elementary school. I spent years working nonstop and feeling envious of anyone who lived in \u2018the real world.\u2019\u201d To be clear, she noted, \u201cI DO NOT MEAN FOR THAT TO BE OFFENSIVE.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, whose career began with a series of commercials as a youngster, went on to say that the path she has taken wasn\u2019t always hers to choose. \u201cMy life in California, and work there, was chosen for me at a young age. Have I been lucky to maintain employment in this industry, since my parents relocated us from Florida \u2014 with the sole intention that I become an actor? Hell yes,\u201d she exclaimed. \u201cI\u2019m proud of myself for handling the majority of that on my own\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cBut that life became the only thing I knew how to do. Or thought I was capable of,\u201d she went on. \u201cThen I had Harper [her daughter with former General Hospital castmate Brandon Barash in 2014] , and how I viewed every single thing in life shifted. I swear I\u2019m not going to continue to bring up my medical situation<\/a> \u2014 I\u2019ll make jokes, and it will be awkward \u2014 but until I began to understand how precious time is and how what we prioritize becomes all we have, there was never a thought that my life would ever change. Definitely not in the way I\u2019ve always wanted it to.\u201d<\/p>\n

From there, Storms made mention of the restraining order that her ex had taken out<\/a> against her. \u201cI will briefly acknowledge that there is an ongoing situation with Brandon that will be getting sorted out \u2014 soon hopefully. I would appreciate (and encourage) for people on here not to worry about me, or think there is something larger going on, other than two ex-spouses dealing with a \u2018disagreement\u2019 that will be resolved.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not the type of person to come on here and discuss the details of something this personal or offensive to who I am. However, before you guys starting commenting on this, please remember that we are people who are divorced and have a child. I appreciate the supportive comments, but now that my daughter is of the age where she will Google her name while riding the bus to school, I\u2019m asking that the speculation on this issue please stop.<\/p>\n
