Garmin is expected to launch its take on the screen-less fitness tracker blueprint established by Whoop soon, dubbed the Garmin Cirqa<\/a>, and the design of the wearable may have just leaked already. <\/p>\n Garmin News has published<\/a> an image that purports to be a render of the upcoming wearable, although that site itself admits the veracity of this leak is uncertain. It came from an anonymous source, so could just as well be a fan render as a legit Garmin-made image. <\/p>\n The story is a Garmin user spotted a reference and thumbnail image of the Garmin Cirqa tracker in the Connect IQ phone app, on an in-app compatibility list. <\/p>\n I\u2019ve tried seeing if I can replicate the same when adding a new device in Connect IQ but, of course, the Garmin Cirqa listing was not there. <\/p>\n What Is The Garmin Cirqa?<\/p>\n The image depicts a fairly slender-looking screen-free wearable, but one that looks distinctly wider than the Fitbit Air<\/a>. It also bears a highly conspicuous and relatively large Garmin logo, which plays down any ideas Garmin is going big on the style angle for this one. <\/p>\n Based on how these devices are typically constructed, it looks as though the central processor puck fits into a rubbery silicone-based strap, with no layer on top of that unit in the default strap option. <\/p>\n This kind of construction allows for all sorts of first and third-party strap designs, while keeping device thickness and weight to a minimum in this basic strap arrangement. <\/p>\n While this particular info drop deserves some skepticism, it is consistent with other Garmin Cirqa activity over the months. Just recently, it popped up on a regional Garmin website\u2019s compatibility listing, giving a fairly good clue as to its wider feature set. And the name of the wearable was revealed when a product page appeared on a Garmin website much earlier in the year<\/a>. <\/p>\n The Garmin Cirqa is likely to be one of the more feature-rich of screen-free trackers, with a recent Garmin website appearance suggesting it has a temperature sensor and \u2014 unsurprisingly \u2014 heart rate reader hardware capable of determining your blood oxygenation. <\/p>\n
