{"id":81788,"date":"2025-08-19T18:12:18","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T18:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/81788\/"},"modified":"2025-08-19T18:12:18","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T18:12:18","slug":"cubs-to-give-frustrated-kyle-tucker-days-off-amid-struggles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/81788\/","title":{"rendered":"Cubs To Give &#8216;Frustrated&#8217; Kyle Tucker Days Off Amid Struggles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-f4e318d2=\"\">It hasn&#8217;t been the best of times for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/mlb\/kyle-tucker-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kyle Tucker<\/a>, and now the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/mlb\/chicago-cubs-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Cubs<\/a> will hope time away from the grind will help their star slugger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-f4e318d2=\"\">Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Tucker will take some days off amid an extended slump, which culminated with fans at Wrigley Field booing the right fielder in Monday&#8217;s Game 1 of a doubleheader against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/mlb\/milwaukee-brewers-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Milwaukee Brewers<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-f4e318d2=\"\">&#8220;The fans are frustrated, and Kyle is frustrated,&#8221; Counsell said after the game. &#8220;When you make outs, it doesn&#8217;t look good. He&#8217;s trying. It&#8217;s just not clicking. We&#8217;re going to have to take a step back here, just give him some days off to reset him, hopefully.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-f4e318d2=\"\">Tucker came into Monday slashing .195\/.333\/.242 with one home run since the beginning of July and then went 0-for-4 in the first game of Monday&#8217;s twin bill.
