\u201cFriday Night Lights\u201d stars Aimee Teegarden and Adrianne Palicki are reflecting on the bond and family they developed while filming the hit series 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a bunch of young kids moving into a city who didn\u2019t really know each other. I think it kind of creates more of a bonding experience,\u201d Teegarden told The California Post during the \u201cFNL\u201d reunion tour stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
She added that the show, which shot on location outside of Austin, Texas, filmed during a time in which networks produced big-scale pilots and no one from the cast was from the city.<\/p>\n

Aimee Teegarden told The California Post the cast really bonded while filming in Texas. California Post<\/p>\n
\u201cFriday Night Lights\u201d \u2014 based on a 1990 book and then a 2004 movie, both of the same name \u2014 ran from 2006-2011 and featured Michael B. Jordan, Taylor Kitsch, Minka Kelly, Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and many more.<\/p>\n
For Teegarden, who grew up in Downey, California, it marked her first time in Texas.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t really watch football, I grew up playing baseball, that was like the big thing in LA,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of crazy that it\u2019s 20 years. I mean, it feels like yesterday, and it feels like a lifetime ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
Adrianne Palicki added that the cast would go out and drink together after filming. California Post<\/p>\n

Palicki, who played Tyra, loved Austin so much she stayed there after filming commenced.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of us moved there,\u201d she told The California Post during the event, which was at Downtown LA\u2019s Alamo Drafthouse. \u201cIt was just a lightning in a bottle situation \u2026 It was very special. And we were all hungry to do it. And we loved each other. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe were not going home at the end of the night, we were all going out and drinking at Guero\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

Palicki is now working on a documentary series about \u201cFriday Night Lights,\u201d which she has been filming while on Plex and ATX TV\u2019s five-city tour celebrating the 20th anniversary.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After a screening of the season one episode \u201cIt\u2019s Different for Girls\u201d (handpicked by Teegarden), Dana Wheeler-Nicholson (\u201cAngela Collette\u201d) and Stacey Oristano (\u201cMindy Riggins\u201d) joined Teegarden and Palicki, where the actress revealed she had interviewed creator Jason Katims earlier in the day, and was with executive producer Peter Berg the day prior.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going around and interviewing a bunch of people,\u201d Palicki said. \u201cMy friend Shawn [Cauthen] produced \u2018The Office\u2019 docuseries for Peacock, it\u2019s coming out soon. He approached me and said, \u2018Do you want to be a producer on this?\u2019 And I said, \u2018Absolutely,\u2019 because this show has changed my absolute life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with \u201cmost\u201d cast members, Palicki has also interviewed professional football players.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s about how this show, the movie, the book influenced not only television and film but influenced football players and influenced athletes in general, and Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n
