Married couple Audrey and Wills W. are Brampton, Ont., residents who have been playing the lottery together for years. As a Mother\u2019s Day gift, Wills decided to buy Audrey a Lotto Max Quick Pick ticket.<\/p>\n
That weekend, news broke that someone in Brampton had won the top prize. After hearing the news, the couple\u2019s daughter told her parents that she was convinced that they had won the jackpot.<\/p>\n
So a few hours later, Audrey decided to check her ticket using the OLG app and saw that she had won $70. But when she showed it to Wills, he told her to look again because \u201cthere are so many more zeroes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair had managed to match the winning numbers 02, 06, 08, 33, 35, 43, 44, and bonus 21 during the Lotto Max draw on May 28, 2026<\/a> \u2014 they were now $70 million richer.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I realized it was $70 million, I was shocked,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI had to double-check to make sure it was real. That\u2019s when I started jumping on the bed in excitement and then fell to my knees, overcome with joy!\u201d<\/p>\n After processing their big win, they finally shared the news with their daughter.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we finally told her the news of the win, she smiled and said, \u2018I knew it!’\u201d Audrey laughed.<\/p>\n OLG<\/p>\n While at the OLG Prize Centre to claim their life-changing windfall, the couple said that they\u2019re extremely grateful and recalled moving from Jamaica decades ago to build a better life.<\/p>\n \u201cWe came to Canada with nothing,\u201d Audrey shared. \u201cWe worked hard, learned to save, and never lived beyond our means. It will take a while to get used to this!\u201d<\/p>\n The couple said that they don\u2019t have any major plans yet and are looking to trusted advisors to help them make \u201csmart, responsible decisions.\u201d They also want to share their good fortune with family and friends.<\/p>\n Audrey, who loves cooking, said she\u2019ll be renovating their kitchen, while Wills wants to restore some vintage cars. They also want to travel, go on cruises, and build a dream home in Jamaica where they can spend winters before returning to Canada for the summer.<\/p>\n In addition to making plans, the pair is most excited about their newfound financial freedom.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m ready for this next phase of life,\u201d said Wills. \u201cI\u2019ve been working towards my retirement, and now, it\u2019s going to be next level!\u201d<\/p>\n OLG<\/p>\n Audrey said she\u2019s excited to be on a beach, enjoying the sunshine, sand, and \u201cdrinks with little umbrellas in them.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m with Audrey,\u201d Wills said. \u201cI love to be by the sea.
