\n\tYaga<\/a>, starring Carrie<\/a>-Anne Moss and Hudson Williams, will have its world premiere at the Toronto<\/a> International Film Festival. The Crave show, which will be on AMC+<\/a> in the U.S., is part of TIFF<\/a>\u2019s Primetime program for TV.<\/p>\n

\n\tTIFF\u2019s Primetime program will open with Jesse McKeown\u2019s Netflix drama Below<\/a>, which is set in a remote Newfoundland town terrorized by a mysterious sea creature. The TV section will wrap with Carrie, Mike Flanagan\u2019s reinvention of the Stephen King classic, for Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere, there will be the world premiere of Shawn Ryan\u2019s anthology series American Hostage<\/a>, which stars Jon Hamm<\/a> and is for MGM+, as well as Brad Caleb Kane\u2019s Crystal Lake, the Friday the 13th prequel series from A24 that will stream on Peacock. The new season of Apple TV\u2019s Slow Horses<\/a> will have an international premiere.<\/p>\n

\n\tInternational series screening include 2.6 Seconds: Death in the Outback from Australia, Alice<\/a> out of France and Blindspot Berlin, hailing from Germany. From Brazil, there is Oxygen Masks Will (Not) Drop Automatically.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe aforementioned Yaga, meanwhile, comes from Bell Media-owned Crave, Blink49 Studios and Front Street Media. Clark Backo and Noah Reid also star in the series, which is based on Kat Sandler\u2019s play, reimagining the myth of Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe festival\u2019s TV lineup completes a round of programming announcements from TIFF, which runs September 10\u201320. The Primetime section \u2018s lead programmer is Geoff Macnaughton, VP, Market Programming & Theatrical.<\/p>\n
