Summer is winding down, but there’s still time for more vacation reading, and it\u2019s a great time for bestsellers and page-turners.<\/p>\n

Here are a few sure-to-be-popular titles, coming from big-name authors as well as first-time novelists making a splash that your friends and book clubs will be talking about, coming to Prince William Public Libraries.<\/p>\n

Taylor Jenkins Reid<\/a> already has several historical fiction bestsellers to her name, books that set emotionally charged stories in recent historical settings. In “Atmosphere,” the NASA Shuttle program in the 1980s serves as the backdrop for a love story that leaves many early readers and reviewers emotionally spent. Be prepared for a story you won’t soon forget.<\/p>\n

Wally Lamb<\/a> has been a mainstay of bestseller lists and book clubs for years. His latest, “The River is Waiting,” has already joined several of his previous works to be featured as an Oprah’s Book Club pick. The story of a man whose struggles with addiction lead him to personal and legal trouble, and ultimately to prison, finds himself fighting to get his life and the trust of his family back.<\/p>\n

Prolific author and creator of the hit British TV series “Broadchurch,” Chris Chibnall<\/a>, has a new detective novel out, “Death at the White Hart.” Set in a small, picture-perfect seaside village, this murder mystery leads two partners on a quest that will expose long-hidden secrets many residents are eager to keep secret.<\/p>\n

Some hot reads are coming from first-time authors, as well. Meredith Lavender<\/a> and Kendall Shores<\/a>, both with decades of experience in television and the corporate world, have teamed up for their debut novel.<\/p>\n

“Happy Wife” is a mystery set in the glitzy world of the wealthy Florida coast.\u00a0A “Read With Jenna\u201d pick that is sure to be shared by fans of page-turning beach reads.<\/p>\n

Another debut novelist, Aisling Rawle<\/a>, is making waves with her book “The Compound.” The main character, a young woman named Lily, finds herself fighting to survive and win in a ruthless reality TV competition where the stakes are as high as the risks she is willing to take. This book raises questions about the nature of competition and desire.<\/p>\n
