Hamilton Police are now working with the Peel Regional Police on the investigation and have said they are \u201cconfident\u201d that the long-haul trucker was murdered elsewhere.<\/p>\n
Di Ianni told The Spectator on Wednesday that investigators have identified the second crime scene in the murder. That scene is located in Brampton and connected to the trucking industry.<\/p>\n

The Canadian trucking industry has come under the microscope by law enforcement on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border. Scores of South Asian truckers \u2014 many non-citizens \u2014 have been arrested and charged for bringing tons of cocaine, methamphetamine and guns over the border.<\/p>\n

Coke kingpin Ryan Wedding used a series of Toronto-area trucking companies to move his drugs from Mexico into Canada.<\/p>\n
His recent haul was \u2018legitimate\u2019<\/p>\n
According to cops, Sidhu had recently returned to Canada after a job in the U.S. carrying a load destined for a Brampton warehouse. Investigators believe the load was \u201clegitimate\u201d and passed\u00a0Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) screening.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement now has possession of the trailer. However, cops would not release details as to its contents, origin or whether any part of the load was missing.<\/p>\n
It is not known what trucking company the dead man was working for of whether he was a freelancer.<\/p>\n
Di Ianni told the Spec that investigators are working with the CBSA to \u201cestablish a more complete timeline of his (Sidhu\u2019s) activities leading up to his death.\u201d<\/p>\n
The detective would not say where cops believe Sidhu was murdered nor have they released any suspect or vehicle information.<\/p>\n
