He\u2019s collected 8 race wins in 378 starts with his last win coming in the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next season, the now 33-year-old will break the 400-career start mark in the NASCAR Cup Series. The 2027 season will also be his last full-time season as confirmed today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hear from Alex Bowman below.<\/p>\n<p>Rick Hendrick comments<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAlex has meant so much to our organization for a long time,\u201d said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports .<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019s overcome adversity, won big races and represented our team and partners with professionalism, personality and class. Alex is a tremendous talent in the race car and an even better person outside of it. We\u2019re proud he\u2019ll have the opportunity to finish his full-time career with us on his terms. He\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ally comments<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEver since Alex became part of the Ally family, it was clear he was someone special \u2013 not just behind the wheel, but in the way he represents everything Ally stands for. We\u2019ve been with him through the wins, the challenges and the moments that define a career, and we couldn\u2019t be prouder of the legacy we\u2019ve built together,\u201d said Andrea Brimmer, chief marketing and PR officer at Ally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe No. 48 Ally Chevrolet means something to our employees, our customers and our fans, and knowing we get one final season with Alex to compete for wins in 2027 makes it all the more meaningful. He will be deeply missed on the track, and we couldn\u2019t be more supportive of him as he looks ahead to the next chapter of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alex Bowman comments<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve spent a lot of time thinking about what\u2019s next, and this feels like the right decision at the right time,\u201d Bowman said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe sport asks a lot of you, and I\u2019ve learned it\u2019s important to listen to your body and make the right choices for yourself.
