WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. \u2013 The Wake Forest women’s tennis team was selected as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the 2026 season, as announced by the ITA on Thursday.<\/p>\n
This marks the eighth consecutive season that the Demon Deacons have been named an ITA All-Academic Team, and the 14th time under the direction of head coach Jeff Wyshner<\/a>.<\/p>\n Additionally, seven Demon Deacons were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, the program’s most since the 2022 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sankavi Gownder<\/a> earned her third career honor, while Heidi Bulger<\/a>, Nevena Carton<\/a> and Kady Tannenbaum<\/a> were recognized for the second consecutive season. Stella Li, Aubrey Nisbet<\/a> and Evie Oxford<\/a> each earned the distinction for the first time.\u00a0<\/p>\n To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

\n\tAll student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form
\n\tAll varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
