(Photo: Peel Regional Police)<\/p>\n<p>Police have made a second arrest more than three years after a food delivery driver from Brampton was beaten and left for dead in Mississauga.<\/p>\n<p>Gurvinder Nath, 24, of Brampton, died in hospital on July 14, 2023, after he was attacked in Mississauga, Peel Regional Police say<\/p>\n<p>An international student who moved to Canada from India in 2021, investigators say Nath was ambushed while making a delivery and that the suspects stole his vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>There was a physical altercation and Nath was left on the road as the culprits took off in his vehicle. He was rushed to hospital where he died of injuries five days later.<\/p>\n<p>He was remembered as a hardworking international student \u201cwho was simply trying to make a living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In February 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/accused-food-delivery-driver-killer-charged-with-murder-in-mississauga-beating\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peel police said Jazaine Kerr, 23, of Mississauga was arrested and charged with second-degree murder<\/a> and possession of a prohibited firearm. Police initially said Kerrhas was from Brampton and was also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2023, an unidentified male youth was also charged with second-degree murder in Nath\u2019s death, but police did not comment on those charges in an update on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A Canada-wide second-degree murder warrant was also issued for Devaunte Thompson, 26, of Caledon, and police now say the accused was arrested in Toronto on July 16.
