\n\tPrime Video has released the first trailer for \u201cBlade Runner 2099<\/a>,\u201d marking the return of Ridley Scott\u2019s sci-fi franchise nine years after the film \u201cBlade Runner 2049.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStarring Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh<\/a> and \u201cEuphoria\u201d breakout star Hunter Schafer<\/a> as its leads, \u201cBlade Runner 2099\u201d is a limited series taking place after the events of both the original \u201cBlade Runner\u201d and the \u201c2049\u201d sequel. Denis Villeneuve\u2019s \u201c2049\u201d continued Scott\u2019s story with original star Harrison Ford back as protagonist Rick Deckard and Ryan Gosling as the replicant blade runner named K. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn \u201c2099,\u201d Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant grappling with the end of her life, while Schafer plays Cora, a human who is on the run from Blade Runners. In the trailer, we see Olwen and Cora team up in the war between replicants and humans. As the cinematic comes to a close, Olwen tells Cora, \u201cThe old world forever fights to come back. Humans want what was taken from them. But it\u2019s our time now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cEverything Everywhere All at Once\u201d star is joined by series regulars Dimitri Abold (\u201cThe Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes\u201d) and Lewis Gribben (\u201cSomewhere Boy\u201d). Recurring guest star roles include Katelyn Rose Downey (\u201cThe Nun II\u201d), Daniel Rigby (\u201cRenegade Nell\u201d), Johnny Harris (\u201cA Gentleman In Moscow\u201d), Amy Lennox (\u201cOnly Child\u201d), Sheila Atim (\u201cThe Woman King\u201d) and Matthew Needham (\u201cHouse of the Dragon\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBlade Runner 2099\u201d was largely shot in Czech Republic at Prague\u2019s Barrandov Studios<\/a>, with additional production also taking place in Barcelona. Film United handled production in Prague. <\/p>\n

\n\tSilka Luisa, known for her work on \u201cShining Girls,\u201d serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ridley Scott, who directed the original \u201cBlade Runner,\u201d will executive produce along with David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger of Scott Free Productions. Jonathan van Tulleken, known for helming two episodes of \u201cSh\u014dgun<\/a>\u201d and \u201cDope Thief,\u201d is set to direct the first two episodes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBlade Runner 2099\u201d will premiere on Prime Video on November 25.
