The historic city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, will set the stage this Saturday, July 25, for a compelling showdown as hometown standout Elshat Nikhemttolla squares off against dangerous Thai contender Tanes Ongjunta with the vacant WBA Asia bantamweight championship at stake.

Nikhemttolla steps into the ring looking to make a statement and establish himself among Asia’s elite. A technically gifted boxer with a compact stance and polished footwork, the Kazakh is expected to seize control of the center of the ring from the opening bell. His game plan will center on establishing a long, accurate jab, controlling the distance, and capitalizing with crisp counterpunches whenever Ongjunta attempts to break through his defensive structure.

Standing across from him will be Ongjunta, a fighter who embodies the relentless and unpredictable nature often associated with Thai boxing. Equipped with a tight guard, nonstop aggression, and legitimate power in both hands, the Thai challenger heads to Kazakhstan with a clear blueprint: cut off the ring, force a torrid pace from the outset, and drag the fight into close range, where sustained body work and heavy inside punches can wear down the hometown favorite.

Nikhemttolla cannot afford to become trapped along the ropes under Ongjunta’s relentless pressure, while the Thai challenger must be careful not to walk into the Kazakh’s fast, accurate combinations as he works to close the distance. With the vacant regional crown on the line, both men have every reason to leave everything in the ring.

The historic city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, will set the stage this Saturday, July 25, for a compelling showdown…

[447
703,49,48,82
post-823945","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-boxing","tag-boxing","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-sports
["GET
