Nothing is one of the U.K.\u2019s tech success stories, co-founded in London by Carl Pei who previously was key to OnePlus. Hot on the heels of its latest release, the Nothing Phone (4b), the latest business report suggests that the company is cutting jobs.<\/p>\n

Inaccurate reports are being circulated; Phone (4b) sold 29,537 units on Day 1 only, breaking records in its price segment,\u201d said on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Phone (4b) is the latest mid-range handset the company has released, winning positive reviews as well as what Evangelidis describes as strong sales. <\/p>\n Strategic Shift Toward AI-Native Business Units<\/p>\n So, what\u2019s going on? Nothing has grown hugely in a short time and it could be that this is a correction, aimed at efficiencies. <\/p>\n \u201cWhat we are doing is reorganising our teams to prepare for our next phase of growth. We are introducing dedicated business units \u2014 including an AI-native business unit \u2014 and consolidating individual countries into regional hubs to operate much more efficiently,\u201d Evangelidis added, acknowledging that this is a difficult transition for the company.<\/p>\n It comes at a time when technology companies worldwide are finding the cost of components soaring \u2014 even Apple has had to put prices up, something anathema to the company. <\/p>\n \u201cWhile these are hard decisions, it is a necessary step to position us to shape the next era of personal computing,\u201d Evangelidis said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe phone making company has expanded into Best Buy stores across the US, opened a flagship store in Bengaluru and recently launched several new smartphones and audio products,\u201d CityAM commented. These include the Ear (3a) in-ear headphones with new features and striking audio. <\/p>\n
