\n\t\u201cAnne Rice\u2019s Interview With the Vampire<\/a>\u201d has been renewed for Season 4, titled \u201cQueen of the Damned.\u201d The renewal was announced at San Diego Comic Con<\/a> and comes ahead of the Season 3 finale on Sunday for \u201cThe Vampire Lestat<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tSeries executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch and stars Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Sheila Atim were on stage at Comic Con to discuss \u201cThe Vampire Lestat\u201d and announced the renewal. The new season is based on Rice\u2019s third novel, \u201cQueen of the Damned.\u201d Moscovitch will serve as showrunner and executive produce along with Johnson and Rolin Jones.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn \u2018The Vampire Lestat,\u2019 Mark, Rolin, Hannah and this extraordinary cast delivered an unforgettable season filled with propulsive storytelling that captivated the passionate and engaged fans of this franchise,\u201d said Dan McDermott, Chief Content Officer of AMC Global Media and President of AMC Studios, in a statement announcing the renewal. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to continue the journey with \u2018Queen of the Damned,\u2019 one of the most iconic stories in Anne Rice\u2019s mythology, and watch our established and beloved characters confront Akasha with their world, and ours, very much hanging in the balance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Vampire Lestat\u201d is technically the third season of the \u201cInterview With the Vampire\u201d series, but was rebranded to signify it would be adapting Rice\u2019s second novel of the same name. Aspiring rock star Lestat (Sam Reid) is the focus of the third season, in which he gives journalist Daniel Molloy an interview for his film. Among his vulnerable confessions include a detailed recollection of his first love, Nicolas de Lenfent (Joseph Potter), who became a vampire with Lestat.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cInterview With a Vampire\u201d first premiered in 2022, marking the second adaptation of Rice\u2019s 1976 novel. The Tom-Cruise-led film was the first to bring the story to life in 1994. To accompany Lestat\u2019s journey to become a rock star, the series produced 20 songs sung by Reid, including \u201cYour Biggest Fan,\u201d \u201cAll Fall Down\u201d and a cover of Billy Idol\u2019s \u201cDancing With Myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
