{"id":825529,"date":"2026-07-25T16:20:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T16:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/825529\/"},"modified":"2026-07-25T16:20:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T16:20:10","slug":"wanted-2-suspects-at-large-after-man-arrested-in-fatal-shooting-in-brampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/825529\/","title":{"rendered":"WANTED: 2 suspects at large after man arrested in fatal shooting in Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man faces murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton last month, while police continue searching for two more suspects.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/male-victim-shot-dead-in-brampton-neighbourhood\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RELATED: Male victim shot dead in Brampton neighbourhood<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Peel Regional Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Crown Victoria Drive shortly after 7 p.m. on June 4.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1003\" height=\"501\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-836197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2-suspects-wanted-fatal-shooting-in-Brampton.png\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Police found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Jamal Edwards of Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Following an investigation, police arrested 24-year-old Bakiram Balakumar of Scarborough on July 21. He has been charged with first-degree murder and was held in custody pending a bail hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators have also released images of two additional suspects who remain outstanding.
