A house fire in Mississauga prompted road closures and the evacuation of nearby homes on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Peel Regional Police and emergency crews responded to the fire near Ruperts Gate Drive and Russell View Road.<\/p>\n
When crews first arrived, the fire was active and surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution. At that time, no injuries had been reported.<\/p>\n
Peel Regional Police also closed several roads in the area while firefighters worked to contain the blaze.<\/p>\n

Glen Erin Drive at Middlebury Drive
\nRuperts Gate Drive at Russell View Road<\/p>\n
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area while emergency crews remain on scene.<\/p>\n
In an update, Peel Police confirmed the fire has now been extinguished.<\/p>\n
One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries. No additional injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n
Road closures remain in place as crews continue their work at the scene and investigate the cause of the fire.<\/p>\n
