The biggest movie of 2026, and arguably the biggest blockbuster since, oh what do you know, Avengers: Endgame, has just taken centre stage at San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel Studios<\/a> returned to Hall H with a major new look at Avengers: Doomsday<\/a>, giving fans their biggest update yet on the Multiverse Saga\u2019s next chapter and finally pulling back the curtain on what\u2019s to come this December. Marvel has kept most of the film under lock and key until now, but Hall H delivered in spectacular fashion. <\/p>\n

Naturally, the spotlight falls on Doctor Doom<\/a>, with Marvel’s most iconic villain finally stepping into the spotlight as the MCU\u2019s next big nasty, but the footage also showcases Earth\u2019s Mightiest Heroes, alongside the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and the Thunderbolts<\/a>, teasing a conflict that looks far bigger and, let’s be honest, worse than anything the Avengers have faced before. Brand new footage was shown to the crowd, with Sue Storm delivering a monologue about the troubled past of one Victor von Doom. Collider’s Samantha Coley was on hand to report back:<\/p>\n

“Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different. He used to be kind, he used to be caring, then everything he loved was taken from him. I knew he was lost but I did not realize he was broken.”<\/p>\n

The footage opens with quick glimpses of the heroes spending time with their loved ones before shifting to a devastated, war-torn landscape. Doctor Doom suddenly emerges, prompting Thor to declare that Doom will \u201cbeg for hell\u201d before he\u2019s finished with him.<\/a> Doom calmly catches Stormbreaker with one hand before effortlessly stopping Thor in his tracks. The trailer ends with Doom raising an army of Doombots from the battlefield, assembling his forces for the coming war.<\/p>\n
