The Montreal Canadiens did something unusual.<\/p>\n

That’s certainly interesting.<\/p>\n

The moment dates back to the FIFA World Cup final, which crowned Spain as world champion.<\/p>\n

Caufield joined several NHL players in the stands.<\/p>\n

A group of friends who have clearly built strong relationships.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was celebratory.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing unusual about NHL stars spending time together during the summer.<\/p>\n

The friendships formed away from the rink often extend beyond team rivalries.<\/p>\n

What is interesting is the Canadiens’ decision to officially share it all, specifically naming a player who plays for a rival team…<\/p>\n

And especially a player who has requested a trade!<\/p>\n

A subtle nod that fuels speculation surrounding Dylan Larkin<\/p>\n

Seeing an organization so clearly mention an opposing player in an official statement is out of the ordinary.<\/p>\n

That said, we love it. And we love that the Canadiens chose to highlight this small gathering between Caufield, Larkin, and Zegras.<\/p>\n

The gesture did not go unnoticed by fans, as you can see in the comments section.<\/p>\n

We can’t wait to see where Dylan Larkin is ultimately traded after requesting a move from the Detroit Red Wings, especially since there happens to be a certain team in Montreal that is looking for another quality center.<\/p>\n
