Chad Kelly threw for two touchdowns and the Toronto Argonauts ground down the BC Lions 26-12 on the road.

The Toronto Argonauts got off to a fast start and never let go, building a 17-6 halftime cushion before cruising home at BC Place. The BC Lions never found the end zone all game, and that’s become a theme for a team that just can’t finish drives. QB Chad Kelly exited the first half of the game with a neck injury and did not return. Toronto improves to 3-4, while BC drops to a rough 1-5 with the loss.

Box Score

Team

Q1

Q2

Q3

Q4

OT

Final

Toronto Argonauts

7

10

6

3

0

26

BC Lions

0

6

3

3

0

12

See full player stats and game details

Game Highlights

Top PerformersToronto ArgonautsBC LionsTeam Stats

Stat

Toronto Argonauts

BC Lions

Total Yards

394

343

Passing

28/38, 331 yds, 2 TD

23/40, 284 yds, 0 TD

Rushing

13 att, 63 yds, 0 TD

18 att, 59 yds, 0 TD

Turnovers

0

0

Quick Hits

Makai Polk needed just 4 catches to score twice, averaging nearly 23 yards a grab.

BC used two quarterbacks — Chase Brice (14/25, 163 yds) and Kaidon Salter (9/15, 121 yds) — and neither could find the end zone.

Toronto’s defense forced BC into three straight field-goal-only quarters after the opening frame, and Shawn Lemon‘s two sacks kept the pressure on all night.

What’s Next

Toronto Argonauts (3-4) — off week, check the full schedule for their next date.

BC Lions (1-5) — at Winnipeg Blue Bombers, July 30

CFL Standings | Full Schedule | League Leaders

What’s your takeaway?
