Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s<\/a> new album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is only about a month old. The singer-songwriter released the project in mid-June, though she began introducing the collection several months earlier via several songs.<\/p>\n Three singles have now been pushed from the set, and all of them have become sizable hits in America and around the world. Rodrigo quickly became a radio favorite early in her career and remains a steady hitmaker in the United States, and this frame, two-thirds of those singles climb to new high points on the same tally as she continues to straddle the line between pop and rock.<\/p>\n Olivia Rodrigo Sends Two Singles to New Peaks on the Pop Chart<\/p>\n \u201cDrop Dead\u201d<\/a> and \u201cStupid Song\u201d both improve on the Pop Airplay chart<\/a> this week. The former single inches from No. 5 to a new peak of No. 4, while \u201cStupid Song\u201d pushes four spaces from No. 33 to No. 29.<\/p>\n The 40-position ranking lists the tracks that earn the most spins at mainstream top 40 radio stations throughout the U.S., and which reach the largest audiences. It is one of three pop-focused airplay charts published by Billboard, alongside the Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary rankings. Interestingly, pop remains one of the only major genres without its own streaming tally, and for many years, there was no sales ranking devoted specifically to that style either.<\/p>\n Olivia Rodrigo Scores Her Fifth-Highest Pop Airplay Hit<\/p>\n \u201cDrop Dead\u201d now stands as Rodrigo\u2019s fifth-highest-charting hit on the Pop Airplay roster. It trails four smashes that came close to \u2014 or succeeded in \u2014 taking control of the competitive radio list.<\/p>\n \u201cDrivers License\u201d<\/a> and \u201cGood 4 U\u201d both climbed to No. 1 and spent about a month running the show. \u201cDeja Vu\u201d and \u201cVampire\u201d stalled one space shy of the summit, peaking in the runner-up position.<\/p>\n \u201cDrop Dead\u201d Finds Its Way Into the Top 10 on the Radio Roster<\/p>\n The same single enters the top 10 on Billboard\u2019s Radio Songs chart<\/a>, where it ascends from No. 11 to No. 9. Rodrigo lands her fifth career appearance between Nos. 1 and 10 as \u201cDrop Dead\u201d improves its standing. The cut also advances to No. 7 on the Adult Pop Airplay tally.<\/p>\n The former Billboard Hot 100 leader also steps up one position on both that ranking and the Streaming Songs rundown, landing at Nos. 12 and 14, respectively \u2013 though those are not new peaks for the tune.<\/p>\n Olivia Rodrigo Has Scored Eight Pop Airplay Chart Top 10s<\/p>\n
