officer is being remembered for her bravery, and for inspiring others to speak out about harassment, prompting awareness and change within the RCMP.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1755073388_375_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Cpl. <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/catherine-galliford\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Catherine Galliford<\/a> represented the RCMP on its largest files, including the Air India bombing and the investigation into serial killer Robert Pickton.<\/p>\n<p>She also sued the force, for sexual harassment.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1755073389_716_national.jpg\" news, political, economic, and current affairs headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, she died from liver cancer at age 58.<\/p>\n<p>Galliford\u2019s lawsuit prompted a class action suit and more than $100 million was paid to sexual harassment victims in the RCMP.<\/p>\n<p>Among them was MLA Elenore Sturko, a former RCMP officer, who recalls the attacks on Galliford.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can remember that people characterized her as being crazy and disparaging her and that was deeply disturbing and sad because the Catherine Galliford that I had always as she battled post-traumatic stress disorder and agoraphobia, Galliford continued to support the families of Pickton\u2019s victims, speaking at an inquiry into the killings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think
