Following the closures of five other locations in Vancouver, 7-Eleven has just closed the doors to its location on the corner of Robson and Hamilton.<\/p>\n
Signs on the door indicate that the location officially closed its doors today.<\/p>\n
This is the fifth location that we discovered that has quietly closed in Vancouver, joining the list of locations in Yaletown<\/a>,\u00a0West Vancouver<\/a>, on the corner of Seymour and Dunsmuir<\/a>, and at 33rd Avenue and Knight Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n We learned in 2024 that 7-Eleven had plans to shutter over 400 locations across North America; however, we couldn\u2019t get confirmation on how many Canadian or Vancouver stores would be impacted by the decision to scale down. Earlier this year, some reports<\/a> suggested that the chain plans to close even more stores.<\/p>\n Along with closing some locations, the brand will focus on opening larger and more \u201cfood-focused\u201d spots to cut costs and improve margins.<\/p>\n Several other locations across Metro Vancouver closed over the past two years, including one on Canada Way near Edmonds and another on Rumble Street.<\/p>\n With files from Amir Ali<\/p>\n Still hungry?
