Then they went to a split screen of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman making their journey in another hallway. Then they went full screen to Oba again and he made his entrance.<\/p>\n Raw G.M. Adam Pearce and Paul Levesque were in the ring with the Hell in a Cell structure surrounding them. Pearce told Oba to stand on the scale. He announced his weight at 302. Pearce then introduced Lesnar. He made his way to ringside with Heyman. He closed the door to the Hell in a Cell and locked it shot with a chain and padlock. Cole said Lesnar apparently had no interest in being in the Cell with Oba nor weighing in. Lesnar laughed at Oba and then put the key to the lock in his mouth.<\/p>\n Heyman said they had \u201ca slight change of plans.\u201d He said letting Lesnar into the HIAC isn\u2019t a good idea. Heyman said Oba is an underdog. He said Lesnar is the Beast of the Brocktagon. He said he has never lost inside HIAC and that streak will never be broken. Oba stared down Lesnar against the cage and followed him as Lesnar walked around the perimeter of the Cell. Heyman said Lesnar weighed in at 303 (one point more than Oba). Oba shook the cage fence.<\/p>\n Lesnar said, \u201cI\u2019ll see you at Summerslam, bitch!\u201d Oba told him, \u201cRun away, like you always do.\u201d Oba told Lesnar he wasn\u2019t going to be locked in with Lesnar, but Lesnar \u201cwill be locked in with me!\u201d Oba then attacked, unprovoked, the police officers or security guys in the Cell who were there to keep Lesnar and Oba apart. Cole said he was \u201ctaking out his frustrations on anyone in his way, and can you blame him?\u201d He almost slammed one fake cop onto his head before giving him a Fall from Grace. Oba\u2019s music played.<\/p>\n (Keller\u2019s Analysis: That closing scene was about as stupid as it gets, especially Cole saying, \u201cCan you blame him?\u201d Why try to make wrestling moves look real or develop a skill for taking good bumps if the booking of storylines is going to yell in all caps at all viewers THIS IS STUPID FAKE SHIT. Obviously, there\u2019s no world where Oba could beat up actual police officers in that situation and not end up with multiple felonies and being sent to jail awaiting trial. It\u2019s just so arbitrary what WWE wants viewers to buy into and what they think is just a silly part of the show that\u2019s not meant to taken seriously but is \u201cfun to watch.\u201d It seemed to be the crowd gave it a big eye roll, also. And what is Oba supposedly so mad about? That he didn\u2019t get to have as peaceful formal weigh-in with Lesnar as planned? They\u2019re booking him to be an immature, unhinged baby who throws big-boy tantrums. It\u2019s not as cool as they think. The botched Fall from Grace wasn\u2019t a good look, either. Everything that preceded it was good, although it\u2019s not clear what a weigh-in is actually for.)<\/p>\n -A video package aired on the history between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.<\/p>\n -The Usos, Jacob Fatu, and Reigns stepped out of a black SUV backstage. Roman smiled and patted Fatu on the shoulder. A guy, as usual, handed Reigns his title belt. He nodded and thanked him. Cole hyped the Roman-Seth face-to-face later.<\/p>\n -The Vision made their entrance. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory stepped out first with Maxxine Dupri rubbing her hands on Theory and wrapping them around his neck. Logan Paul followed a step behind. Cole said they want to embarrass The Alpha Academy. [c]<\/p>\n -Minnesota Viking Justin Jefferson again hyped $25 tickets for Summerslam.<\/p>\n -Cole hyped WWE Radio on SiriusXM.<\/p>\n -They showed boxer Ryan Garcia at ringside, a welterweight champion for Zuffa Boxing.<\/p>\n (1) AUSTIN THEORY & BRON BREAKKER (w\/Maxxine Dupri, Logan Paul) vs. OTIS & AKIRA TOZAWA \u2013 WWE Tag Team Title match<\/p>\n Otis and Tozawa made their way to the ring. The bell rang 22 minutes into the hour. Theory and Otis opened the match, but Theory backed away immediately and tagged in Breakker. Theory laughed. Otis shoulder-tackled Breakker, then tagged in Tozawa. Breakker carried Tozawa to his corner and then tagged Theory. Cole noted this is the first match Otis and Tozawa have wrestled without Maxxine at ringside for them. Tozawa chased Theory around ringside. Maxxine grabbed Tozawa\u2019s boot as he slid into the ring and then Breakker clotheslined him, which led to Theory taking over. They cut to a break at 2:00. [c]<\/p>\n Otis tagged in and rallied. He landed a Caterpillar on Breakker. Tozawa dove at Theory at ringside. Tozawa was set to leap off the top rope, but Logan distracted him. When Tozawa leaped, Austin recovered enough to lift his knees. Breakker then gave Tozawa his high-acceleration spear for the three count.<\/p>\n WINNERS: Breakker & Theory in 9:00 to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles.<\/p>\n -Theory and Breakker double-teamed Tozawa after the match. Otiz made the save. When Otis climbed to the top rope, Maxxine got in his space and made him pause. Then Breakker and Theory double-teamed him. Cole said it was \u201ctasteless and unnecessary\u201d (but he didn\u2019t apply that to Oba attacking supposed cops without justification earlier?). Cole called Maxxine a witch. Theory smashed a chair into the ringpost and next to Otis\u2019s head. Logan stood wide-eyed behind Theory and Maxxine.<\/p>\n -They went backstage to Jackie Redmond with LA Knight. \u201cYou\u2019re boy is in the building, yeah!\u201d he said after describing the roads he took to the arena. He said Cole said he is paranoid. He said every single thing he said would happen has happened. He said he was right about how once The Bloodline got back together, it\u2019d be sneak attacks and screwjobs. He said Saturday night at Summerslam, they\u2019re fighting.<\/p>\n -A vignette aired with Sol Ruca talking about her match against Raquel Rodriguez.<\/p>\n -They showed Raquel warming up with Liv Morgan and then Ruca stretching. [c]<\/p>\n -They showed Matt Barnes, a former NBA player, in the crowd. They showed Jimmy Hart in the front row. He still looks like he did in 1985 somehow.<\/p>\n -They showed Chad Gable at a Minnesota United soccer game. Graves said the Penta vs. Gable match takes place Saturday at Summerslam.<\/p>\n -A video aired on Gable who was shown standing on the Stone Arch Bridge over the Mississippi River. He talked about his journey in WWE and his growth and lessons learned.<\/p>\n -A vignette aired on Iyo Sky next.<\/p>\n -Cole hyped bidding for three toy figures commemorating CM Punk\u2019s Pipe Bomb promo.<\/p>\n -Je\u2019Von Evans made his ring entrance. [c]<\/p>\n -They showed a scene of Downtown Minneapolis from the 35W freeway approach with a view of \u201cThe Electric Fetus\u201d on the left (a great record shop I was just a couple weeks ago). Then they showed the sculpture garden at the Walker Art Center in Downtown Minneapolis including the famous spoon.<\/p>\n (2) JE\u2019VON EVANS vs. RUSEV<\/p>\n The end of Rusev\u2019s ring entrance aired after the break. The bell rang 51 minutes into the hour. Rusev dominated early. Evans made a comeback at ringside. He leaped at Rusev, but Rusev caught him and flung him into the time keeper\u2019s area. Evans recovered and leaped off the barricade onto Rusev. He looked at the camera and said, \u201cWe\u2019ll be right back!\u201d Then he stood on the ringside barricade and played to the crowd with his usual enthusiasm. They cut to a double-box break. [c\/db]<\/p>\n Rusev took over for a while Evans fought back. After the break, Rusev was in control.<\/p>\n [HOUR TWO]<\/p>\n Evans made a comeback and leaped over the top rope at Rusev. Rusev fired back with a Machka Kick for a two count. He followed with an Accolade attempt. Evans flailed and reached the bottom rope. Evans then went for an OG Cutter. Rusev caught him and put him in the Accolade. Evans powered out and reached the ropes again. Rusev yelled, \u201cGet up! Get up! Get up!\u201d Evans ducked a Rusev kick and kipped up and landed a stunner. Then he hit his OG Cutter for the win.<\/p>\n WINNER: Evans in 10:00.<\/p>\n (Keller\u2019s Analysis: Nice match. Rusev seemed on the verge of a win when Evans made a spirited comeback.)<\/p>\n -An infographic on the screen noted that Roman and Seth haven\u2019t had a one-on-one match since 2022.<\/p>\n -A video package aired on the history of Roman and Seth.<\/p>\n -They showed Seth backstage looking pensive. [c]<\/p>\n -Danhausen and Joe Hendry did a concert together in the ring. They sang over and over, \u201cI believe that you are cursed.\u201d Minihausens danced in the ring and LA Clippers cheerleaders danced at ringside. A Zuffa boxer, Ryan Garcia, danced with them at ringside, but then attacked them. The Judgment Day attacked Danhausen and the Minihausens. Dom hit a frog splash on Danhausen to end the segment.<\/p>\n (Keller\u2019s Analysis: The crowd seemed to think this was pretty lame. So did I, although it was well done for what it was attempting to do.)<\/p>\n -A vignette aired with Penta speaking in English and Spanish about his match against Gable.<\/p>\n -They showed Mario Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, and O\u2019Shea Jackson Jr. in the crowd<\/p>\n -Rey Mysterio began his ring entrance. Cole hyped his match against Ethan Page. [c]<\/p>\n -A vignmette aired with Big Cass saying when you hit rock bottom all you can do is get back up and prove everyone wrong. The date of 8\/3 was shown.<\/p>\n (3) ETHAN PAGE vs. REY MYSTERIO<\/p>\n The bell rang 22 minutes into the hour. They cut to a break at 3:00. [c]<\/p>\n Rey sent Ethan into the ringpost with his legs after the break. Rey rallied with a senton, but Ethan caught (sort of) Rey\u2019s next dive and slammed him. Rey countered with a DDT for a two count at 9:00. Rey kicked Ethan into a 619 position a minute later. Ethan blocked it with the ring apron and then threw Rey into the ringpost. Ethan landed his EgoPlex next for the win.<\/p>\n WINNER: Ethan in 12:00.<\/p>\n -A vignette aired with Liv Morgan addressing Iyo Sky, her Summerslam opponent.<\/p>\n -Backstage, they showed Danhausen and Minihausens knocked silly backstage. Pearce told Danhausen to give Dom his money back. Danhausen suggested they put the \u201chuman money\u201d on a pole at Summerslam. Pearce agreed to it, then said he needed a drink.<\/p>\n -The Usos made their entrance through the crowd. [c]<\/p>\n -The JJet $25 Summerslam ticket commercial aired again with Justin Jefferson.<\/p>\n (Keller\u2019s Analysis: WrestleTix reports that the total count of distributed tickets has reached just over 30,000 for each night as of several days ago.)<\/p>\n -The Usos music faded. Jimmy addressed the crowd first. Solo Sikoa walked out into the crowd through the concourse tunnel and mocked Jimmy\u2019s sound effects. Solo said there is no Bloodline without him. He said the Usos have no chance at Summerslam. Jimmy said they all know that he is playing this game like he doesn\u2019t want to return to The Bloodline, but it was the best thing that happened to him. He told him to listen to The Tribal Chief \u201cand run the play, or else.\u201d Solo asked, \u201cOr else what?\u201d He asked if they\u2019d Yeet for 30 minutes or \u201cdo this stupid crap and bore everybody to sleep.\u201d He said he loves where he\u2019s at, so why would he return to the family. He said the fans \u201clove where Solo is at.\u201d Some fans cheered and chanted for him, others were siding with the Usos. Solo told the Usos to tell Roman, \u201cHe can kiss my ass.\u201d<\/p>\n LA Knight\u2019s music interrupted and he came out onto the stage. A small \u201cLA Knight\u201d chant started. He said they screwed him out of the match against Jacob Fatu last week and then screwed Royce Keys out of his match on Smackdown on Friday. He said they have five days and he\u2019ll see them at Summerslam. He turned to leave, then paused, and said, \u201cOr\u2026\u201d He took off his vest and said he could walk down the aisle and then he and Solo could kick their asses LA-style. They entered the ring and all four brawled. Cole said it was a preview of Summerslam. Fatu marched out next. He beat up both Solo and Knight. The crowd didn\u2019t respond much. Royce then ran out and went after Jimmy. He got no pop at all.<\/p>\n Royce and Fatu circled each other in the ring. They exchanged punches to zero crowd reaction. Fatu put the Tongan Death Grip on Keys. Solo gave Fatu a Samoan Spike. Royce gave Fatu a spinebuster. Knight then gave Fatu a BFT. Very mild applause as Knight\u2019s music played.<\/p>\n (Keller\u2019s Analysis: I hope Levesque and his team, if they still have their jobs after this Summerslam build, look at the total lack of crowd reaction for this storyline in particular as evidence against the muddled character philosophy they\u2019ve been leaning into lately. Fans need a reason to root for someone over someone else, and this is just wrestlers they are predisposed to like undercutting each other week after week in a ways that just mutes the enthusiasm to back any of them.)<\/p>\n -A vignette hyped Oba vs. Lesnar in a HIAC match.<\/p>\n -Sol Ruca made her entrance. [c]<\/p>\n [HOUR THREE]<\/p>\n (4) SOL RUCA vs. RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ \u2013 Intercontinental Title match<\/p>\n The bell rang 1 minute into the hour. Graves said Raquel hasn\u2019t had her gas tank tested. There was an odd spot early where it appeared Sol could end up landing awkwardly on her head. Then she landed a standing moonsault that wouldn\u2019t have broken an egg on Raquel\u2019s torso since her feet took all the impact on the landing. They showed Nikki Cross \u2013 I mean, Lyra Valkyria watching backstage on a monitor. Sol took Raquel down with a top rope moonault at ringside. Sol threw Raquel into the ring and scored a two count. Raquel was bleeding from her nose.<\/p>\n Raquel took over control and scored a two count. Sol came back with a knee to the nose for a two count. Sol slipped out of Raquel\u2019s grip and snapped her over the top rope. She then leaped off the top rope and delvivered an awkward cartwheel DDT for a two count.<\/p>\n Roxanne Perez ran out and distracted Sol, then Liv grabbed her boot. Raquel kicked Sol in the face and stack covered her. Sol kicked out at the last possible split-second. Iyo Sy ran out. They showed Liv going bug-eyed in response. Liv and Sky battled at ringside. Liv tossed Sky into the barricade. Sky threw Liv into the ringpost. Raquel lifted Sky onto the ring apron. Sol gave a Code Breaker to Raquel. Sky then hit running double-knees to Liv on the ring apron. The crowd gasped. Perez knocked Sol out of mid-air on a Sol Snatcher attempt. Raquel then drove Sol to the mat with a Tejana Bomb for the win. Cole noted that this is Raquel\u2019s first singles title in WWE.<\/p>\n WINNER: Rodriguez in 11:00 to capture the Intercontinental Title.<\/p>\n -A two minute video package aired on CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes with clips from their exchange on Smackdown last week.<\/p>\n -Roman Reigns made his ring entrance as fans chanted \u201cOTC!\u201d [c]<\/p>\n -Roman\u2019s music faded after the break. Some fans chanted \u201cOTC!\u201d Fans then sang \u201cRoman, Roman Reigns!\u201d Seth then made his entrance and then entered the ring. He got in Roman\u2019s face and said \u201cLos Angeles, acknowledge me!\u201d Very little response, then some fans chanted \u201cOTC!\u201d but it fell apart quickly. Roman said, \u201cThat\u2019s how you ruin a great thing.\u201d He said he tried to explain it to them, but \u201cLA knows the deal, you\u2019re an asshole.\u201d<\/p>\n Seth said he\u2019s guilty and \u201cI\u2019m the bad guy here.\u201d He said that\u2019s fine with him because that\u2019s how he gets his. He said some people start on third base. \u201cPeople like me gotta grind, gotta hustle to get ours.\u201d He said he isn\u2019t taking anything away from Roman. He said he is everything the company wanted him to be and a money-making machine. He said he has an edge on him in so many departments, but he will never be better than him in one category, \u201cand that is professional wrestling.\u201d He said when it comes to what goes on in the ring, he owns his ass. He said when it comes to what goes on in \u201cthat thick skull of yours, I own your ass too.\u201d He said everybody knows it and there\u2019s nothing he can point to say that he\u2019s a liar. He said he can call him an asshole, but he can\u2019t call him a liar.<\/p>\n He said every single time they\u2019ve crossed paths, he\u2019s owned him. He said he shouldn\u2019t think Summerslam will be different. He asked if he\u2019s going to have help from The Bloodline as usual. Roman said he needs to beat him. \u201cEverybody needs me to beat you,\u201d he said. He said the whole industry needs him to beat him. A small \u201cOTC!\u201d chant almost started.<\/p>\n Seth soaked up his words and said, \u201cIt\u2019s funny the things we need, huh?\u201d He said Roman \u201cneeds this redemption so bad.\u201d He said when he suckered him into the match a month ago, he said he needed his family to be there to see it. He said it took him back down memory lane all the way to WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in on his ass and sent his family home in tears. He said he hopes his family is there on Sunday because he\u2019d love nothing more than watch them cry again. Reigns\u2019s nostrils flared.<\/p>\n Seth said they\u2019ll find out their daddy is a fraud and a loser and he\u2019ll forever be Seth Rollins\u2019s bitch. Roman punched Seth. He mounted Seth and punched away at him. Graves said it takes a lot to get under the skin of Reigns, but Seth did it. Roman speared Seth. Fans chanted \u201cOTC!\u201d louder than before.<\/p>\n Reigns dropped to ringside and picked up a chair. When Reigns slid into the ring with the chair, Seth recovered enough to surprise Reigns with a stomp on the chair.
