The 20-year-old lost her serve twice during a 45-minute opening set, but recovered to claim it before breaking Osuigwe three times in the second set.<\/p>\n<p>Joint will play either top seed Ekaterina Alexandrova or fellow Russian Kristina Liutova for a place in the quarterfinals. She previously won tournaments in Rabat and Eastbourne last year and reached a career-best world ranking of 28 in February.<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s other players were beaten. Talia Gibson lost 6-0, 6-3 to Germany\u2019s Tatjana Maria, while Storm Hunter was defeated 7-5, 7-5 by fifth-seeded Colombian Camila Osorio.<\/p>\n<p>Kimberly Birrell is scheduled to face China\u2019s Ma Yexin in the singles draw on Tuesday after losing her first-round doubles match with American Peyton Stearns.
