The North Bay area was hit with another significant rainfall event that created multiple flash floods across North Bay.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Streets including Wallace Road, Fisher Street and Lakeshore Drive were reported to be difficult to navigate during Monday’s rain event.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Some residents told BayToday they were\u00a0unable to reach certain areas with their vehicles due to the high water levels on the streets\u00a0and were forced to park elsewhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At around 9:30 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists reported they were\u00a0tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter-sized hail and heavy rain in the North Bay-Powassan area.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Some travel delays are likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility,” Environment Canada stated Monday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of early Tuesday morning, the City of North Bay has not reported any significant damage from Monday’s storm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, North Bay Hydro reported a power outage on Campbell Avenue due to a downed tree and downed power lines.\u00a0<\/p>\n
