R&B star Tamar Braxton<\/a> has revealed that she nearly died after experiencing a frightening health episode that resulted in several injuries over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The Grammy-nominated singer \u2014 one of the Braxton<\/a> sisters \u2014 wrote in an update to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday that a friend found her \u201cin a pool of blood\u201d with a fractured nose, some lost teeth and mobility issues on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can\u2019t even really talk anymore I\u2019m so weak,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

She later continued, \u201cAs the days go by the worse it is. … \ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udc94the way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins\u2026 pray for me for real \ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udc94I don\u2019t even know what happened to me \ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udc94.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s unclear what led to the health scare, Braxton shared a post with the text \u201cThank you God for waking me up today\u201d just hours ahead of the update.<\/p>\n

Braxton has previously been open about her health, telling People magazine in 2021<\/a> that she \u201cchose to change\u201d her life after surviving a suicide attempt the year prior.<\/p>\n

At the time, her then-boyfriend, David Adefeso, found her unresponsive while she was at her home with her son Logan (whom she shares with former husband Vincent Herbert) back in July 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat time of my life was so dark and so heavy,\u201d she told the magazine. \u201cI didn\u2019t see how I was going to come out on the other side. I didn\u2019t even know that there was another side.\u201d<\/p>\n

She later continued, \u201cMost people think, \u2018Oh, she went to a hotel, probably took a bunch of drugs, was on a binge.\u2019 It didn\u2019t happen like that. It was just everyday life, trying to figure out how to get through the day and then …\u201d<\/p>\n

In December 2022, she revealed<\/a> that she was taken to the hospital after experiencing flu-like symptoms, noting that she couldn\u2019t breathe and her chest was \u201con FIRE\u201d at the time.
