Alberto Dainese made his first appearance for The Wolfpack since June\u2019s National Championships, and the Italian was in the spotlight at the end of the stage that concluded in Bourg-en Bresse, the city where our team took a memorable victory from the breakaway at the 2023 Tour de France.<\/p>\n
It was a pretty straightforward route, almost flat and with non-technical roads that made it easy for the peloton to bring back the two different leading groups that tried their luck Tuesday afternoon. Soudal Quick-Step was one of the teams that set the tempo at the front of the bunch, reeling in the escapees and setting Alberto Dainese up for the mass gallop.<\/p>\n
The Italian showed a good sprint as he took his first podium of the season, just behind Noah Hobbs (EF Education – EasyPost) and will wear the points jersey on Wednesday, then the terrain favoring the climbers will reshuffle the general classification.<\/p>\n
