Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> starter Shane Bieber<\/a> was not able to escape the first inning of Tuesday\u2019s start against the Washington Nationals<\/a> after issuing six walks and surrendering four runs.<\/p>\n

Bieber walked James Wood<\/a> to begin his nightmare first inning and things did not improve for the rest of his short outing.<\/p>\n

After loading the bases on another walk and a single, Bieber threw four straight balls to Keibert Ruiz<\/a> to force home the Nationals\u2019 first run.<\/p>\n

Daylen Lile<\/a> and Jacob Young<\/a> would also earn bases-loaded walks from the Blue Jays\u2019 starter with a Nasim Nu\u00f1ez sacrifice fly responsible for the other run.<\/p>\n

Bieber would give way to reliever Brendon Little<\/a> after walking six hitters and recording just two outs.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old threw 42 pitches with 15 strikes.<\/p>\n

The California native has appeared in seven games this season for the Blue Jays and has a 2-1 record with a 5.74 ERA and 22 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
