Muay thai specialist Zaynukov (9-0) stands out in Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>\u2019s team, which is known for its dominant
\nwrestling-heavy approach. However, Mendez claims Zaynukov has
\ndeveloped a well-rounded arsenal and has the potential to emerge as
\na big star in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nAmerican Kickboxing Academy<\/a> head coach claims Zaynukov gives
\nIslam
\nMakhachev<\/a> tough rounds in sparring as he has sharpened his
\nwrestling defense and has even accrued some ground attacks. Mendez
\nalso believes that \u201cWild Chanco\u201d will grow into a fan favorite,
\ngiven his fighting style.<\/p>\n

\u201cChanco gives Islam some really tough rounds because he\u2019s gotten
\nreally good at defending and surviving on the ground and getting
\nback up,\u201d Mendez told Red Corner MMA. \u201cOr even attacking on the
\nground. \u2018Chanco\u2019 is a total MMA package. Don\u2019t look at him as just
\na Thai boxer. He\u2019s a total package. He can do it all\u2026 He likes to
\nstrike because that\u2019s what he\u2019s done his whole life\u2026 People
\nnormally tend to like the strikers over the ground guys. So
\n\u2018Chanco\u2019 is going to be a fan favorite for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zaynukov earned a contract on
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> last year and made his UFC debut
\nagainst Damian
\nRzepecki<\/a> at
\nUFC Abu Dhabi<\/a>. He battered Rzepecki with a variety of strikes,
\nincluding some flashy elbows, en route to a decision win.<\/p>\n
