Newcastle are still yet to receive a bid from Arsenal for their captain Bruno Guimaraes, who is not expected to push for a move away, according to the Northern Echo<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Arsenal are prepared to step up their pursuit of Guimaraes but have been told that a fee of \u00a3100m will be needed to sign the Brazil international midfielder.<\/p>\n

The BBC<\/a> reported last week that Arsenal are preparing to test their resolve with a \u00a370m offer for Guimaraes, who is said to be keen on a move to London.<\/p>\n

Newcastle believe the fee Tottenham paid for Sandro Tonali should set the benchmark for any interest in their captain. Guimaraes is set to return to Newcastle for pre-season training on Friday. <\/p>\n

Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has agreed to join Liverpool, according to a report in the French sports daily L\u2019Equipe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is undoubtedly a boost to Liverpool ahead of potentially facing competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal for the France international, but a deal remains some way off.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because PSG have set a price tag of \u00a3140m on the 23-year-old, and do not want to sell – especially as Real Madrid look likely to sign RB Leipzig\u2019s Yan Diomande.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, PSG are using the Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson deals as a benchmark, while Barcola remains under contract with the European champions.<\/p>\n
