Former All-CFL offensive tackle Jarell Broxton is set to miss the rematch against his former team.<\/p>\n
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without their prized free agent acquisition for their Week 9 bout against the BC Lions, as Broxton has been ruled out with a knee injury.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old was listed as questionable on the team\u2019s injury report after he was a non-participant during Monday\u2019s practice and a limited participant during Tuesday\u2019s session. <\/p>\n
The 6-foot-5, 331-pound lineman was then left off the team\u2019s official depth chart for Thursday\u2019s matchup and moved to the one-game injured list. Broxton suffered the knee injury during the second quarter of last week\u2019s 52-30 loss to the Calgary Stampeders and did not return.<\/p>\n
The lineman was named to his first career All-CFL team with the Lions last season, the team he played each of his five previous CFL campaigns with.<\/p>\n
Considered the top player available on TSN\u2019s free agent board<\/a> in the off-season, Winnipeg made Broxton the highest-paid American offensive lineman.<\/a><\/p>\n The native of Olney, Md., played his collegiate career at Lackawanna College before transferring to Baylor University.
