\n\tThe White House wasn\u2019t too happy with singer-songwriter Noah Kahan criticizing President Donald Trump<\/a> for using one of his songs on social media.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday, after the Trump administration used his track \u201cAmerican Cars\u201d as the audio for a recent video posted on the POTUS and White House Instagram and TikTok accounts, Kahan left his thoughts in the comments.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWould never approve of my\u00a0music<\/a>\u00a0being used in support of you or this administration,\u201d he wrote<\/a>, making his stance known. Kahan\u2019s comment has already garnered nearly 50,000 likes, as of Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn response, Kaelan Dorr, who serves as the deputy assistant to the president and deputy communications director, wrote on X<\/a>, \u201cSymptoms of TDS [Trump derangement syndrome] apparently include having a northern attitude,\u201d referencing Kahan\u2019s hit song \u201cNorthern Attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cStick Season\u201d artist isn\u2019t the first celebrity to get into a flame war with Trump. Bruce Springsteen<\/a>, Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/a>, Robert De Niro<\/a> and Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> are among others who have engaged in fiery back-and-forth insults with the controversial president.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump has also been called out by a long list of other artists for using their music without permission, including\u00a0Celine Dion<\/a>,\u00a0Katy Perry<\/a>,\u00a0Kesha<\/a>,\u00a0Tom Petty<\/a>\u00a0and many others. While some have been able to block the use of their songs at his campaign rallies, other times it\u2019s been more difficult, as the tracks were included in the public Instagram or TikTok music libraries, meaning anyone can use them in a social media video.<\/p>\n

\n\tKahan is currently traveling across the globe on his The Great Divide Tour, in support of his fourth studio album, The Great Divide<\/a>, which was the follow-up to the breakout hit Stick Season in 2022.<\/p>\n
