The Masked Singer UK<\/a> has been leaving some clues ahead of the new season, teasing a major announcement that’s got fans talking. The ITV singing competition has taken to social media to involve viewers in a mystery surrounding the eighth season, set to air in the new year.<\/p>\n

On Instagram<\/a>, the show shared that a “huge reveal” was on the way, with clues following about some potential guest panellists who might join Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross during series 8. <\/p>\n

In a first clip, a voiceover stated that “something big” would be coming to the show and included a few clues for viewers to decipher.

“We do need a singer panellist ngl,” one fan commented on the first clip, adding: “we need someone on the panel that knows singing like the back of their hand that does singing full time like [former panellist] Rita [Ora].”<\/p>\n

A second video featured a detective-style clue board, including pictures of past characters Teeth, revealed to be Mel Giedroyc, and Red Panda, unmasked as Harry Hill. The board also had a postcard from Greece pinned to it, with a third clip<\/a> revealing a series of letter cards spelling the words “viral” and “rival”.<\/p>\n

“Plot twist? Try two,” the post<\/a>‘s caption read, hinting at two new panellists.<\/p>\n

Fans started throwing out their guesses, with one person suggesting that musical theatre star Mazz Murray, known for the role of Donna Sheridan on West End musical Mamma Mia!, could be joining The Masked Singer.<\/p>\n

“Mazz Murray because of the Greece postcard and it says missing you and Mazz left Mamma Mia! and Donna Sheridan is one of her most well known roles,” the fan shared.<\/p>\n

Someone else suggested that it could be McFly’s Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher<\/a>, who have been rumoured to be leaving The Voice UK, while another person hoped for The Celebrity Traitors winner comedian Alan Carr to appear on the panel.<\/p>\n

“Whatever it is, if it’s being teased early it’ll be big!” one viewer declared enthusiastically as filming on the show is due to begin shortly.<\/p>\n

The Masked Singer confirmed the show will provide some clear answers tomorrow, as it urged fans to keep their eyes peeled. <\/p>\n
