It became a place filled with friendships, celebrations, laughter, and countless memories. None of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of our community,\u201d wrote Ruex in a post that has since garnered over a thousand likes.<\/p>\n<p>Ruex is an Australian-inspired brunch restaurant situated on the corner of King George and Fraser Highway that brought Melbourne mid-morning meal vibes to Metro Vancouver. Some popular items here included the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict, Biscoff French Toast, and a Bruschetta Avocado Toast with chilli ricotta, nut-free pesto-marinated tomatoes, and crispy basil.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile it\u2019s never easy to say goodbye to something we\u2019ve poured our hearts into, we\u2019re excited to embrace whatever comes next. It\u2019s time to hang up our aprons, switch off the coffee machine one last time, and begin a new adventure,\u201d added the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Ruex then went on to thank its staff, friends, family, partners, and all the guests who walked through its doors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for believing in us, supporting us, and giving us some of the most meaningful years of our lives. Ruex will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will forever be grateful to have shared this journey with you,\u201d concluded the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Many people took to the comments to share how much they would miss the Surrey brunch destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRuex will be dearly missed, it was a staple for Surrey. Thank you for everything,\u201d said one Instagram user.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnd of an era \u2764\ufe0f I am excited for the next chapter for you!
