Jennie Garth is \u201csad\u201d that Tori Spelling has exited their joint \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210\u201d rewatch podcast<\/a> after nearly six years.<\/p>\n

The actress kicked off Friday\u2019s episode of the \u201c9021OMG\u201d podcast<\/a>, which was released early, by addressing \u201csome housekeeping things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sad that she\u2019s not finishing this out with us. We started this together and I\u2019m sad about that, if I\u2019m honest, which I always am,\u201d Garth explained to listeners \u2014 before clarifying she was \u201creally happy for [Spelling] \u2026 to choose herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Producer Amy Sugarman, who joined Garth for the episode, noted that \u201cas everyone knows, Tori has not been here for a bit \u2026 for many reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cAbout two weeks ago, she made the decision, which I\u2019m sure was a very tough decision for her, but she let us know about two weeks ago that she had decided she wasn\u2019t going to continue with the podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was 100 percent her decision,\u201d Sugarman added. \u201cAnd look, two things can be true: we can be really bummed and disappointed that she\u2019s not going to do Seasons 9 and 10 with us, with you, while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited for her about the things she\u2019s working on and does want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing fans\u2019 questions about Spelling\u2019s whereabouts on the podcast, Suagrman added that they \u201chad all decided together that today was the day [they] were going to tell everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garth, 54, jumped in to beg audiences to stick around, promising to deliver special guests for recapping Seasons 9 and 10 of \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spelling broke the news to her fans in a recent Instagram Live, Entertainment Weekly revealed<\/a> Thursday, announcing her choice to step away from the podcast.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old reportedly told her and Garth\u2019s former co-star Brian Austin Green during the Live that she wanted to pursue other projects.<\/p>\n

The cast reunited during the 2019 revival, \u201cBH90210.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spelling and Garth played Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor, respectively, in the show, which ran from 1990 to 2000. The two reprised their roles in the\u00a02019 revival, \u201cBH90210,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and kicked off their rewatch podcast in November 2020.<\/p>\n

Speaking to People<\/a> about the project in October 2020, Spelling said, \u201cWe\u2019ve been friends for 30 years. We\u2019ve gone through decades of change as women, we\u2019re moms now and it\u2019s really the one relationship that has stayed all this time!<\/p>\n

\u201cFans always say to us, \u2018We can\u2019t believe you\u2019re actually best friends.\u2019 We wanted to do a girlfriends podcast and then blended it with \u201890210\u2019 to do it for the fans.
