Northeast Edmonton transit riders will have to hop on and off a shuttle bus or find other means of transportation next week as a good chunk of the Capital Line LRT service will be shut down for construction.<\/p>\n
Starting at 8 p.m. on Aug. 7 until 8 a.m. on Aug. 9, the LRT service from Churchill and Clareview stations will be unavailable to accommodate the safe installation of overhead electrical lines north of 115 Avenue, said the City of Edmonton in a Friday news release.<\/p>\n
LRT replacement buses will be available and running between Churchill and Clareview for the entire duration of the construction upgrade.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 7, shuttle buses will run every seven to eight minutes from 8 p.m. to the end of service.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 8 the buses will run every seven to eight minutes from the start of service until 7 p.m. and then every 10 minutes until the end of service.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 9, the buses will run every seven to eight minutes until 10 a.m.<\/p>\n
