Monias said some people continued to drive around the First Nation despite the lockdown. <\/p>\n<p>The chief reminded everyone to stay inside. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Your safety is our top priority. The lockdown is a precautionary measure to protect every member of our community while police conduct their investigation,&#8221; he said in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/v\/1Bf2cg2snt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">earlier video statement.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>All Treaty and Indian Days gatherings and events have been cancelled until further notice, Monias said.<\/p>\n<p>The chief asked residents to co-operate with police and report any suspicious activity to RCMP at 204-676-2345 or 911 in an emergency. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We continue to ask you if you have information, please let the RCMP know.
